Description
Formatting a PC before you sell it or give it away is not enough, because recovery tools can still pull files back. Macrorit Data Wiper overwrites a whole disk or just the free space following a wiping standard, so the data cannot be recovered afterwards.
The window has three steps: pick the target, pick the wiping plan, click Wipe Now. The target can be only the recycle bin, only free space, or an entire drive. To wipe the system disk too, it can run from bootable media outside Windows.
Several wiping plans: Fill with zero, pseudo-random data, or standards such as DoD 5220.22-M, DoD 5220.28-STD and Gutmann 35 passes
Flexible targets: Recycle bin, free space only, or an entire disk, whichever you need
Bootable media: Start outside Windows to wipe the system disk that is in use
Partition overview: Lists each disk with its partitions and usage so you do not pick the wrong one
