You want one fader to pull down several tracks at once, or a MIDI controller to ride the level of a single track, and your host’s own volume control cannot do it. Blue Cat’s Gain Suite is a free set of simple but flexible gain plug-ins.
What sets it apart is MIDI automation with fully customizable response curves: used with an analysis tool or a MIDI controller, it lets you remotely control the gain of each channel wherever the plug-in sits in the signal path. The other exclusive feature is that several instances can be linked through data sharing, so a single slider drives multiple tracks.
