Description
Something in the mix sounds muddy and your ears cannot say which band it is. Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst draws what you cannot hear: a real-time spectrum of the signal, for free.
Most spectrum analyzers jitter at high frequency resolution. This one uses its own smooth interpolation, so the curve keeps moving continuously even at a very high resolution. Most steps of the audio-to-spectrum conversion can be adjusted, and a thresholding system shows only the part you care about. It works in mono and dual-channel modes, the display zooms, and the window goes from mini to very large. Formats include VST, VST3 and AAX.
Smooth real-time spectrum: Its own interpolation keeps the curve steady even at high resolution.
Adjustable conversion: Precision, speed, envelope and peak hold are all adjustable.
Thresholding: Set a threshold to display only the part you need.
Zoomable display: Zoom into one band, and resize the window freely.
Mono and dual channel: Watch left and right separately, or overlay max and average.
Free: Listed as freeware on the official site.
