Description
What stalls a product promo video is rarely the editing software — it is not knowing which shots to use: how to open, how the title should arrive, how to push into a UI screenshot, how to get from one beat to the next. Ask an AI to invent the animation and you usually get a pile of unrelated effects that do not add up to a film.
video-shotcraft takes a different route. Rather than having the model improvise motion, it hands it 157 shot recipe cards first. Each card is one tuned shot with its timing, its element movement and its settle already fixed as parameters. The model’s job is to pick cards, order them, drop your product screenshots in, and hand the result to Remotion to render.
It is an agent skill installed for Claude Code or Codex rather than a standalone application. The site hosts a gallery where all 214 motion samples can be previewed individually before you commit to one, with the cards grouped into opening and brand, typography, UI entrance, camera, data, interaction, transitions, rhythm and outro.
Shot recipe library: 157 tuned shot cards spanning brand openings, type animation, UI entrances, camera moves, data reveals, transitions and outros, for the model to select and combine against the brief.
Motion preview gallery: All 214 motion samples can be watched one by one on the site with a written description of what each shot does, so nothing is chosen blind.
Real screenshots: It works from captures of your own product pages with 2.5D camera moves over them, rather than filling a template with placeholder art.
Rendered by Remotion: Remotion underpins it, so preview and final export match frame for frame and the animation is defined in code — change a parameter and re-render.
Ready-made template: A production-ready video template ships with it, so swapping in your own assets gets you a finished piece without composing from scratch.
Unattended rendering: Headless and CI rendering are documented, which makes batch production inside an automated pipeline possible.
