Description
A Brother printer that starts misbehaving often has the driver Windows installed automatically through plug and play to blame: it won't fully uninstall from Control Panel and keeps overriding a fresh install. This official little tool removes the plug-and-play device driver so you can install the right one for your setup.
It's under a megabyte: pick your model, then uninstall. If you can't find the model number, look at the device name in Device Manager.
Many models: Laser, inkjet and multifunction printers plus a range of scanners are on the list.
Made by Brother: Supplied by the manufacturer and aimed at its own devices' drivers.
Regular uninstall first: Brother recommends Brother Utilities first; keep this tool for when the usual route doesn't remove it.
