Mudlet

Mudlet

Cross-platform MUD client

Description

Plain telnet scrolls past too fast to read in a text MUD, and healing or drinking potions on cue means typing from memory. Mudlet is a client built for MUDs that understands what the server sends and reacts to it by your rules.

Its heart is triggers and scripts: when a line of text arrives, your action runs automatically, and aliases, timers and key bindings are all configurable, with scripts written in Lua. Text supports full color, and map, chat and status windows can be placed wherever you like.

Features

Triggers:Match incoming text to fire attacks, log events or raise alerts, removing repetitive typing.

Aliases and timers:Shrink a long command into a short name, and let timers repeat actions on a schedule.

Lua scripting:Write full logic, and install ready-made packages from the community.

Custom layout:Pull the map, status bars and chat out into their own windows and arrange them your way.

Cross-platform:Versions for Windows, macOS and Linux, and the source is open on GitHub.
