Savage Wind Recomp

Savage Wind Recomp

Native PC port of Breath of the Wild

Description

You want The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild running well on a PC without brute-forcing an emulator. Savage Wind Recomp statically recompiles version 1.9.0 into a native app for Windows and Linux, aiming at a full PC version: a launcher, PC-style graphics options, mods, any controller, keyboard and mouse, and text and voices in any of the game's languages.

It is still a work in progress: the opening in the Shrine of Resurrection and the Great Plateau plays at 60 fps with sound, voices, HUD, saving and loading, and a player has completed the first Divine Beast, but the rest of the story is unconfirmed and bugs or crashes are expected. You need your own game files updated to 1.9.0; no game files, keys or ways to obtain them are provided. The author states that nearly all the code is written by AI under human direction, testing and review.

Features

Current status: Alpha: the opening area is playable at 60 fps and the first Divine Beast has been cleared; later story is not fully verified
