The built-in registry editor changes values well enough, yet it grates fast: a search stops at one hit and you press F3 to crawl on, there is no undo after deleting the wrong key, and comparing two places means juggling two windows. Registry Finder was made for exactly these gaps: it lists every search hit in one place and lets you undo and redo your changes, as a free replacement for the stock editor.
Search is where it shines. It runs in the background without freezing the window, shows all matches as a list with the matching text in red, and lets you jump to a key, edit it or delete it right from the results. You can narrow the previous results further, and hidden keys can be included. Results save as a .reg file or tab separated text that opens neatly in Excel. The official site offers an installer plus 32 bit and 64 bit portable zips that run straight after extracting.
