Wireless Workbench

Wireless Workbench

Shure wireless system management

Description

A dozen wireless mics on one stage, and the only way to find a clean frequency is trial and error until someone hears feedback. Wireless Workbench hands that job to software: it scans the RF environment, works out a set of interference-free frequencies for your gear, and pushes them to the networked receivers so nobody walks from rack to rack.

Once the hardware is on Ethernet, the same window keeps an eye on battery level, RF strength and gain for every transmitter. A dying battery or a jammed channel shows up while the show is running, not after the dropout.

Features

Inventory: discovers Shure devices on the network; when auto-detection misses some, assign IP addresses by hand as long as every unit shares the same subnet mask.

Frequency coordination: calculates usable frequencies from scan data and device models to cut cross-talk between systems in the same venue.

Live monitoring: watch key parameters for one or several channels side by side with scrolling RF level graphs.

Networked control: manage the whole wireless rig over the LAN instead of touching each unit.
