Description
Swap in a non-official headset and the game and chat sliders stop being separate: a teammate speaks, game sound drowns them out, and fixing it means digging through the Windows mixer. Arcmix is a Windows tray app that puts running apps into Game, Chat and Media groups and scales each group's volume proportionally.
Control it with a headset dial, a window slider or hotkeys, and let it duck game audio automatically when someone talks. On the microphone side it adds noise suppression, a compressor and VST plugins, replacing three or four separate tools.
Grouped volume: Game, chat and media groups each get their own level, with per-app tweaks.
Global equalizer: An EQ over the whole output, with VST plugin support.
Microphone processing: Noise suppression, compressor and self-monitoring for calls and gaming.
Several controls: Headset dial, window slider or hotkeys.
