Vibe Player

Vibe Player

Lightweight local music player

Description

You just want to play the FLACs on your disk, yet you are told to import tens of thousands of songs into a library first, wait for it to scan, and watch it fall apart when you rename a folder. Vibe does it the other way round: drop a file or a whole folder on the window and it plays, with no import, no account and no subscription.

Every track is drawn as a full waveform across the window, and clicking anywhere on it jumps right there, so finding a chorus or a drum hit no longer means dragging a progress bar and guessing. Tags, artwork and waveforms are read in the background and cached, so the second launch is nearly instant. Audio runs through its own CoreAudio engine with bit-perfect output, and the same engine powers an iPhone and iPad version with Dropbox support.

Features

Whole-track waveform seeking: The waveform of the entire song fills the window; click anywhere to play from that spot.

Play without importing: Drop in files or folders from disk, iCloud Drive or Dropbox and listen, with no database to rebuild.

Bit-perfect output: Bit-perfect and exclusive modes send audio to the device exactly as-is, with no system resampling.

Common formats: MP3, AAC, FLAC, ALAC, M4A, AIFF, WAV, Ogg Opus, Ogg Vorbis and more play directly.

DJ tools: A turntable-style pitch fader, BPM and key analysis, bar-accurate skips, and effects such as a low-kill filter, reverb and delay.

Custom themes: Restyle the window, fonts, colors, waveform and playlist, then export a theme as a single file to share.

Keyboard shortcuts: Space plays and pauses, A/S/D skip forward 8/16/32 bars, and every key can be remapped.

30 languages: Fully localized, from Bulgarian to Vietnamese.
