Description
To quickly size up a machine, its OS version, kernel, CPU, memory, uptime, installed hotfixes and software, clicking through GUI dialogs is slow. PsInfo lists this whole system inventory in one command, and with -h for hotfixes and -s for installed software, asset checks are at a glance.
It also collects from remote computers, so a script can roll several machines into a CSV for an asset register. From Microsoft Sysinternals, a single portable file.
