Description
Several hundred skins in the official gallery, and there is always something you would change: the buttons are small, the spectrum sits awkwardly, the palette clashes with your wallpaper. Editing the images inside the skin package does not help — every control carries coordinates, states and hit areas defined in configuration.
AIMP Skin Editor is the official tool for that. It opens a skin as visual layers and controls that you drag around on a canvas, with separate images assigned for a button normal, hover and pressed states, and dedicated property panels for the spectrum analyser, progress bar and volume slider. Finished skins export as .acs4 files that drop straight into AIMP.
It handles both building a full skin from scratch and adjusting details on an existing one — the latter is what most people do. Released alongside the player, so versions stay in step. Free.
Visual layout editing: Drag controls on a canvas to set position and size instead of writing coordinates by hand.
Per-state images: Assign separate artwork for normal, hover and pressed states on buttons and sliders.
Dedicated control properties: Spectrum analyser, progress bar, volume slider and lyrics area each get their own property panel.
Export and share: Package the result as an AIMP .acs4 skin that installs by dropping it onto the player.
Edit existing skins: Open a downloaded skin and change a few details rather than starting from nothing.
Versioned with the player: Released alongside AIMP, so new control types in the player are available in the editor.
