RisohEditor

RisohEditor

Free Win32 resource editor

Description

To change the text in a dialog inside an existing EXE, swap an icon, or localize a program, editing the resources in the binary directly is the least-hassle route. RisohEditor does exactly this: it reads and writes resource data in RC / RES / EXE / DLL files, letting you view and edit dialogs, menus, icons, string tables and bitmaps visually, then write them back.

It supports UTF-16 resource scripts for clean multilingual resources, ships a resource compiler toolchain, and includes the author's own message-table compiler, mcdx. Written in C++ and fully open source, it runs on Windows and ReactOS, a handy tool for localization and UI tweaks.
