Hundreds of txt files that all need GBK converted to UTF-8, line endings changed from Windows CRLF to Unix LF, and one word replaced everywhere — doing that one file at a time in an editor takes all night. TextConverter is built for that batch drudgery: drop a pile of files or a whole folder in, tick the operations you want, and it runs them across every file at once, with nothing to open individually.
It turns the common text jobs into a column of checkable actions on the right: replace text, replace lines, insert, delete text or lines, upper/lower case, join files, split files, encoding conversion, line-break conversion, CSV editing, transcription and transliteration, and more. The left is the list of files to process, which takes drag-and-drop, whole folders, recursion into subfolders and a filter to pick only matching files. You can preview before it runs so nothing is quietly broken. It suits data cleaning, bulk re-encoding and normalizing a batch of documents. This is the free Basic edition, on Windows.
