Pane

Pane

Launcher, mouse gestures and clipboard in one

Description

On Windows you end up running a launcher, a mouse-gesture tool and a clipboard history as three resident programs fighting over memory and hotkeys. Pane folds the three into one frosted-glass app: Alt+Space opens the launcher, Alt+V opens the clipboard, and holding the mouse back button after selecting text brings up a super panel.

The launcher understands pinyin and initials, so typing wx finds WeChat. It does math, runs system commands such as lock, sleep and shutdown, and calls Everything to search files. Any text you type gets a row of actions for translate, ask AI and web search, and holding Alt shows numbers so Alt plus a digit fires one.

Features

Launcher: Search apps, calculations, system commands and files, and what you just copied is attached when you open it within seconds of copying.

Files window: Everything-powered file search sorted by type and modified time, with preview and drag-out.

Translate and AI chat: Translate as you type, Chinese into English by default, and multi-turn AI chat with switchable models that is cleared when the window closes.

Clipboard history: Records text, images and file lists, with search, pinning and type filters, Shift+Enter pastes plain text, and password managers can be excluded.

Requirements: Windows 11 x64, Chinese-only interface for now, GPL-3.0.
