Description
Need to share a pile of files with colleagues on the LAN without wrestling with IIS or uploading to a cloud drive? Xlight FTP Server runs straight from a folder: a portable program under 1 MB that serves FTP, FTPS and SFTP, and its personal edition is free for personal use.
It can host several virtual servers at once. Each account only sees its own directory, and speed limits, concurrent-user limits and per-IP login limits are set per server, applied instantly without restarting the service. The main window draws live traffic so you can see who is transferring what.
Multiple protocols: FTP, FTPS and SFTP, with SSL/TLS encryption when you need it.
Virtual servers: run several listeners on one machine, each with its own users and permissions.
User and directory isolation: every account maps to its own directory, with optional virtual folders, so nobody sees another user's files.
Speed and connection limits: cap bandwidth, concurrent users, logins per IP and idle time.
Portable: 32-bit and 64-bit zip builds need no installation, and a remote admin client manages the server from another PC.
Logs and statistics: connections and transfers are logged, and the main window plots live traffic.
