Description
Downloading on a Mac means one client for magnets, another for ed2k, and the command line for video sites, a pile of separate apps. Shandian Download puts them in one window: copy a link, press ⌘V, and the type is detected and the task starts.
It is a native SwiftUI Mac app that uses a customised build of Gopeed as its download core, with yt-dlp handling video platforms.
Supported links: Magnets, torrent files, ed2k and HTTP links, plus video pages from YouTube, X, Bilibili and Weibo. Douyin, Xiaohongshu and Xinpianchang go through the browser extension.
Browser extension takeover: With the extension installed, downloads on web pages are handed straight to the app.
Video downloads: Best available quality by default, preferring H.264 and AAC so clips import into CapCut and Final Cut Pro, Douyin and Xiaohongshu videos come without platform watermarks, and WeChat Channels is not supported.
Fast magnet start: It merges fresh trackers from public lists at every launch, and the author measured 5 to 18 seconds to start on public sources.
Segmented large files: HTTP downloads run in parallel segments and back off and retry on rate limiting or temporary errors.
Cloud offline: Rare resources nobody seeds can be fetched by PikPak's servers first and pulled back, as an optional feature.
Per-domain proxy routing: Overseas sites use the system proxy, domestic sites and BT tasks connect directly.
Cloud-drive files need the separate LinkSwift userscript to get direct links. The speed figures are the author's own measurements, not a guarantee. Licensed under GPL-3.0.
