Ghost Downloader

Ghost Downloader

All in one open source downloader

Description

Downloading files often means juggling tools: the browser for plain links, a torrent client for magnets, and yet another parser for video sites, with tasks easy to lose along the way. Ghost Downloader pulls them into one window: HTTP, magnet, FTP, M3U8, DASH and eD2k are all handled by a single downloader, and every task sits in one list with clear progress and speed.

It also pays attention to real network conditions. Files are split into chunks automatically with no merge step afterwards, it presents real browser TLS fingerprints to cut down on anti bot blocks, and you can swap the URL, headers or proxy mid download without losing progress. For video it parses YouTube and Bilibili, with clip selection, any quality, subtitles, playlists and multi part episodes, and GitHub and HuggingFace files can go through mirror acceleration. The companion browser extension sniffs media on a page and hands it to the desktop app with your login state. It is open source and runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, with every build on the GitHub releases page.
