SpeedCrunch

SpeedCrunch

High-precision scientific calculator

Description

The built-in calculator leaves you squinting at the previous step halfway through, and one wrong bracket in a long expression means retyping everything. SpeedCrunch is a keyboard-first scientific calculator: type the whole expression, and every result stays in the history where a click lets you rewrite and recompute it.

Precision goes well beyond the usual, up to 50 digits, with complex numbers, matrices and unit conversion. Variables, functions and units are yours to define, and after enough use it starts to feel like your own scratch paper.

Features

50-digit precision: Numbers keep their accuracy past a couple of dozen decimals, handy for numeric checks or studying floating-point error.

Built-in functions and constants: Over 140 functions plus physical and mathematical constants: trig, logs, statistics and combinatorics without looking up formulas.

User-defined variables, functions and units: Store a formula you reuse as a function, a common quantity as a variable, or add units of your own.

Complex numbers, vectors, matrices: Complex arithmetic and basic vector and matrix operations are built in, enough for engineering and linear algebra homework.

History and sessions: Past calculations can be revisited and edited, and separate sessions keep different workings apart.

Detachable panels: Formula, function, variable and history panels can be pulled out and laid out to suit your screen.
