Description
You want a relaxed strategy game on a Mac without a multi-gigabyte download or in-app purchases and ads nagging you. Quest for Duskara is an open-source single-player island builder: you start with one town among 15 islands, build houses, farms and factories, and expand until you capture Duskara. It renders with SwiftUI, RealityKit and Metal, so the islands are little 3D models rather than a flat map.
Each town is a 3×3 building board holding houses, farms, factories, piers and barracks, and a day passes every 10 seconds as resources and population shift. Trade at the Harbor Market, send troops at other cities from the world map, and captured towns share gold, food and skill with you. Easy, Medium and Hard difficulties, and four visual themes: Village, Desert, Mountains and Forest. Needs macOS 26 or later, MIT licensed, built in Xcode or downloaded from Releases.
