Connecting back to the Mac at home, most tools either stutter like a slideshow or make you open a separate window just to copy a file. YourDesk smooths this out: operate desktops between Mac and Windows over hardware codecs — macOS H.264/HEVC and Windows H.264, auto-selected by what each end supports, so the picture keeps up, with FPS and bitrate shown live in the toolbar.
What's genuinely rare is a built-in MCP server that lets an AI agent connect and control the remote computer: grab the screen, drive keyboard and mouse, query connection diagnostics, and disconnect when done. The local entry is `http://127.0.0.1:12345/mcp`; the IP allowlist defaults to 127.0.0.1 only, anything outside it needs a token, the MCP remote view is hidden by default with a colored tray hint, and a session still requires the normal password and system permissions — it is not a backdoor. Day to day there's also cross-machine copy/paste (text, images, files and folders, up to 2 GiB per batch), multi-monitor switching, and window retention on reconnect. The macOS build is Apple-notarized, Windows ships x64 and ARM64 installers, plus a Linux CLI Host.
