Copy manager that replaces the system file transfer dialog
Description
Copying a 40 GB folder to an external drive, a "file already exists" prompt stops the whole queue until you answer. You answer, it resumes, and at 80% a permission error kills the job outright — everything transferred so far counts for nothing. The built-in copy dialog cannot pause and cannot recover.
Ultracopier takes the job over. Once installed, it intercepts every copy and paste in the system: you still press Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, but what appears is its transfer window, where you can pause, resume, cap the speed to leave bandwidth for something else, reorder the queue, or add more files to a transfer already running.
Error handling is where it earns its place. Name collisions, permission failures and over-long paths are recorded and skipped so the queue keeps moving, and you get a list at the end to retry. It can also checksum the result to confirm the copy. Free and open source, on Windows, macOS and Linux, with a pluggable transfer engine.
