Videos where a drawing appears stroke by stroke are captivating, but making one means tracing frame by frame. Sketch2Motion turns a photo or sketch into a video of it being drawn.
The color pipeline quantizes the image into up to 16 colors, traces each layer with potrace and renders the animation with Manim, and the SVGs include their own background for sharing.
