PS Remote Play

PS Remote Play

Play PlayStation games remotely on a PC

Description

The console is wired to the living-room TV and the TV is busy; or you are away for a week and the machine sits idle at home. PS Remote Play is Sony's own answer: stream a PS5 or PS4's video and controller input over the network to a computer, so the console stays where it is while you keep playing from the study, the office or a hotel room.

It is the official client — sign in with your PSN account, pair once, and you are done, with no jailbreak and no third-party streaming tool. On the same local network the experience is low-latency, and it works over the internet too given stable bandwidth in both directions. A DualSense or DualShock 4 connected to the PC by USB or Bluetooth is recognized directly.

Free, requiring a PS5 or PS4, a PSN account and a reliable connection.

Features

Console streaming: live video and audio come to the computer while input goes back the other way, which effectively moves the console onto the screen in front of you.

PS5 and PS4: both generations connect, selected during pairing, with no change required to the games themselves.

Native controller support: a DualSense or DualShock 4 attached by USB or Bluetooth works as the controller with the same button mapping as on the console.

Local and remote: latency is lowest on the same network, and connections over the internet to a console at home are supported for playing while away.

Adjustable quality: resolution and frame-rate settings can be matched to the connection — lower for smoothness on a tight link, higher when bandwidth allows.

Wake from rest mode: the client can wake a console in rest mode and go straight into a game, without a trip to the living room to press the power button.

Official and free: published by Sony and free to download, with no subscription beyond the console and account you already have.
