The annoying part of working over remote desktop is reconnecting every time: close the window and the session drops, come back and you wait through another handshake and reload. DeskPort aims squarely at that — keep the remote desktop connected in the background, bring it onto your current workspace with one action, tuck it away when you are done, and summon it again without reconnecting.
It builds on the low-latency streaming of Moonlight and Sunshine, combining a viewer and an optional host in one application with a shared device list, mutual binding and permission controls. The macOS package includes Sunshine and a native virtual display, giving the remote session a dedicated workspace that follows the client window's pixel size, and clients at 150% scale or above request a 2× HiDPI workspace for sharp text. The Linux native packages and AppImage include a Sunshine host for the existing desktop; Flatpak provides the client only. Bound devices can also share text both ways.
macOS ships an Apple-notarized DMG for Apple Silicon; Linux has DEB, RPM, Arch, AppImage and Flatpak. Development prerelease, GPL-3.0.
