Description
A UPS gets plugged in and then forgotten, which leaves you guessing: how much battery is left, how many minutes it would actually hold, how many times the mains dipped last month. Worse, when the power goes while nobody is at the desk, the UPS drains its last cell and the machine is cut off anyway. PowerPanel Personal fills that gap — it talks to a CyberPower UPS over USB, sits in the tray, and shuts the system down cleanly once your chosen delay elapses.
The main panel is one screen of current state: whether you are on utility power or battery, output voltage, battery percentage, estimated runtime at the present load, and how many watts the UPS is carrying. The Summary page lists the most recent power event, how many times conditions went bad and how long they lasted in total, filterable over 1, 4, 12 or 24 weeks. Tray notifications fire both when power is lost and when it returns, with optional sound.
Live status: power source, output voltage, battery capacity, estimated remaining runtime and current load in watts, all on one panel.
Automatic shutdown: a configurable delay or remaining-capacity threshold triggers a proper shutdown after an outage, rather than letting the machine drop.
Event history: the summary view records recent power events, how often they occurred and their cumulative duration, over 1, 4, 12 or 24 weeks.
Notifications: tray alerts for power loss and restoration, with optional audible warnings, so an outage is visible after the fact too.
Battery self-test: run a test on demand or on a schedule to catch an ageing battery before the next real outage does.
