Description
If you host photos on Immich, the Mac experience is a browser tab: weak shortcuts, no real multi-window, awkward dragging. Immich Gallery is a from-scratch SwiftUI native macOS client laid out like Apple Photos, with a sidebar, toolbar, shortcuts, multiple windows and tabs.
It's an independent open-source project not affiliated with Immich, and needs an Immich server v2.0 or later. It's an early preview that can edit, move and delete photos on your server, so back up first. Requires macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
Timeline: Photos grouped by month with ThumbHash placeholders so scrolling never shows blanks.
Windows and tabs: Several windows and tabs like Photos, with keyboard shortcuts and Quick Look.
Map and places: Photos clustered on a map, plus a places grid to browse by where they were taken.
Smart search: Uses the Immich server's smart search to find photos by content.
Self-updating: From 0.3.2 it checks for updates itself and asks before installing.
