HandySwitch

HandySwitch

macOS menu bar quick toggles

Description

Switching to dark mode means opening System Settings, keeping a Mac awake means digging through energy options, and wiping the keyboard means mashing keys by accident. HandySwitch puts those small chores in one panel under the menu bar icon.

Click it and five switches line up: Clean Mode, Dark Mode, Prevent Sleep, Reverse Mouse Scroll and Smooth Mouse Scroll. It is not a feature supermarket: no Dock icon, no account, no telemetry, and everything stays on your Mac.

Features

Clean Mode:Locks the keyboard and trackpad while you wipe them down, and releases with one click.

Dark Mode:Switch appearance from the panel without opening System Settings.

Prevent Sleep:Pick 1, 3, 5 or 8 hours and it lets go on its own when time is up.

Mouse scrolling:Reverse the wheel direction or add smooth scrolling, separate from the trackpad.

Updates:Sparkle checks for updates and Homebrew installs work; requires macOS 26 or later, and some switches need Accessibility permission.
