iDeck

iDeck

Run PC Steam games on iPhone

Description

Your Steam library is full of Windows games, but on the road all you have is a phone, and streaming means a gaming PC left running at home. iDeck moves it onto the iPhone and iPad itself: Valve's real Steam client in Big Picture runs on device, and compatible Windows games run locally through Madeira, Wine, FEX and Metal, with no PC streaming involved.

It is experimental. It runs Windows Steam through compatibility and instruction translation, not SteamOS, and not every game will run well. You download the IPA yourself, sideload it with your own Apple ID using Sideloadly or AltStore, then plug in a controller and browse your library.

Features

Steam Big Picture: the actual Steam client, with the library, store and controller navigation you know.

On device play: built on the Madeira project, with Wine and FEX translating instructions and Metal handling graphics.

Controller and landscape: connect a gamepad and play in landscape.

Guided launcher: the current alpha has a six step launcher and a bilingual setup guide.

Open source: released under GPL-3.0.
