Description
Your backend has to export data to Excel, and a CSV just leaves users reformatting it. Apache POI lets Java programs read and write Office files directly and produce real XLSX, DOCX and PPTX that open in Microsoft Office, LibreOffice and OpenOffice.
It works the other way too: pull tabular data and text out of existing spreadsheets or generate an index for documents. POI 6.0.0 requires Java 17 or newer.
