Description
You are selling the PC, handing it down, or returning it to work, and emptying the Recycle Bin does not help. A normal delete only removes the name from the directory; the data stays on disk and recovery tools bring it back in minutes. Blank And Secure does one thing differently: it overwrites the file contents with random data before deleting.
The workflow needs no manual: drag files into the window, or onto the program icon on your desktop, check the list and press delete. The whole program is a single file of a few hundred kilobytes and needs no installation.
Choose the overwrite count: One pass for speed, more passes when the data is sensitive, entirely up to you.
Delay with an escape hatch: Set a few seconds of delay and press ESC during the countdown to abort if you dragged the wrong file.
Finish automatically: After the run it can shut down, hibernate, or just exit, so overnight clean-ups do not need babysitting.
Failure reporting: Files that could not be removed are flagged, and warnings and errors are listed in the log pane below.
Portable: Unzip and run, with both 32-bit and 64-bit builds available.
