Description
The clock in the Windows taskbar corner is small, and with enough windows open it is easy to lose track of the time and date. DesktopDigitalClock puts a digital clock right on the desktop: drag it to any size, place it anywhere, and tweak the font, color, transparency and theme until it looks right wherever it sits, all while using very little resources.
The settings are practical. The time and date format can be written by hand, the font can be any installed on the machine, and the position can be locked against accidental drags or the clock kept above other windows. It remembers where you left it and can start with Windows. Both an installer and a no install portable build are offered, the archive is only a few hundred KB, and the author gives it away free with optional donations.
Custom size: a slider scales the clock from a small corner widget up to a full screen display
Transparency and themes: several themes plus adjustable transparency keep it from hiding your wallpaper
Any font: use any font already installed on your computer to match your style
Display format: write your own time and date format and choose whether to show seconds, weekday and year
Lock and topmost: lock the position against stray drags, keep it on top of other windows, or hide it
Remembers position: the clock returns to where you left it after a restart and can launch with Windows
Portable builds: x86 and x64 portable packages need no installation and can ride on a USB drive
