Description
You want to upgrade the RAM but cannot remember what is plugged in, or you are about to swap a drive without knowing whether the slot is SATA or NVMe, and the built-in info windows bury the answer three levels deep.
SIV (System Information Viewer) is a small, installation-free tool that lays out CPU, memory, graphics, motherboard and sensor data in a single window, from BIOS version and cache sizes to CPU temperature and fan speed. Unzip and double-click: no registry changes, no traces left on disk, and it runs from a USB stick on any other PC too.
The download link points to the official site, which offers the official zip and mirror links.
Summary panel: the main window shows OS version, resource usage, processor, memory and graphics at a glance.
Hardware detail: menus such as Machine expose BIOS, L1/L2/L3 caches, port states and memory arrays.
Sensors: reads temperatures, voltages, fan speeds and power, and plots CPU utilisation over time.
Devices and network: lists PCI devices, USB, disk mapping, network adapters, IP addresses and SPD memory data.
Tray modules: minimises to the tray for quick access to each module and its settings.
Save and compare: copy the current configuration to plain text to compare with another PC.
