Description
You bought the DVD, yet another player can't open it and your transcoder throws an error on the first read. The disc isn't scratched; its copy protection simply locks third-party software out. DVDFab Passkey Lite sits in the background and unlocks that door for you.
Lite is the free edition of Passkey. It doesn't hand you yet another player window. Instead it strips disc protection on the fly at the system level: put the disc in and the player or converter you already use reads it as normal, with no tool switching and no full-disc copy to the hard drive first.
Automatic background unlocking: it stays resident after install and handles a protected disc the moment it is inserted, so there is no extra interface to manage.
Works with the software you have: it isn't tied to one player or converter; whatever protection other programs trip over while reading a disc is dealt with in between.
Free to use: the Lite edition costs nothing, which suits anyone who only occasionally needs to read a disc and doesn't want to buy a full suite for it.
Updated with DVDFab: disc protection schemes keep changing, and it relies on DVDFab's update channel to keep recognising newer discs.
