CHK Hash Tool

CHK Hash Tool

File hash checker

Description

You download a multi-gigabyte ISO, the site lists a SHA-256, and your options are a command line and squinting at two long strings. Or you have tens of thousands of photos on a disk and want to know which are exact duplicates, and filenames are all you have to go on.

CHK handles both in a single small executable. Drag files or a whole folder into the window and each file's hash is listed within seconds, with files of identical content highlighted in yellow so duplicates stand out at once. If you already have an official checksum, paste it in to compare: a match gets a tick, a mismatch gets a warning.

Features

Many hash algorithms: CRC-32, MD5, SHA-256, BLAKE3, xxHash3 and more, switched from the dropdown at the top.

Batch hashing: drop in files or folders and get results for all of them, with path, size and type shown alongside.

Duplicate finder: files are grouped by hash, so identical content is highlighted together.

Verify against a known hash: paste the checksum from the publisher and the comparison result appears right in the list.

Clipboard monitoring and entropy analysis: hashes you copy can be used for verification straight away, and entropy analysis tells you whether a file looks compressed or encrypted.

No installation: this is the 64-bit portable build, just unzip and run.
