Description
You drop an HD file into your player and it stutters, the audio drifts, and installing yet another codec pack does not help. Mirillis Splash sidesteps the whole mess with built-in decoders that play out of the box — drag a 1080p or 4K MP4 or MKV in and it just plays.
It also offloads decoding to your GPU, so high-bitrate video on an older laptop does not send the fans into overdrive, and an unobtrusive control bar pops up on demand instead of burying things in menus.
No codec packs: Common video and audio formats ship with their own decoders.
Hardware acceleration: Decodes HD video on the GPU to keep CPU load low.
Minimal controls: Floating control bar, one-key fullscreen and drag-and-drop playback.
Free to use: Core playback is free with no trial timer.
