Amber Notes
Apple Notes style notes your AI can read and edit
Description
Asking ChatGPT or Claude to tidy your notes means copy-pasting back and forth and diffing what it changed. Amber Notes is a notes app your AI can actually read and write: it looks like Apple Notes, and ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Codex edit your notes over MCP.
Whatever an assistant writes is tinted and labeled with its name, with one-tap undo, and every change keeps the previous version and who made it. You approve each connection and choose read-only or read-and-edit. Notes are Markdown underneath with checklists, tables and sub-notes, and you can import from Apple Notes, Evernote, Google Keep and Markdown folders. The Mac app is out, iPhone is coming soon, MIT licensed.
Visible, undoable AI edits:AI text is tinted with its name and one tap undoes it.
Version history:Each change keeps the previous version and its author.
MCP access:ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Codex, approved one by one, read-only or read-and-edit.
Apple Notes feel:Folders, date groups, pinning, search, Recently Deleted.
Markdown underneath:Checklists, tables, sub-notes, images and files.
Imports:Apple Notes, Evernote, Google Keep and Markdown folders.
Live sync:iPhone and Mac in about half a second; self-hostable backend.
