Description
Wanting to get Switch 2 screenshots and recordings onto a Mac, you find you simply cannot: macOS has no MTP support, and the Switch-1-era bridges like OpenMTP and MacDroid all fail against the Switch 2. Tethersnap just implements a PTP transfer from scratch: it talks to the console directly over IOUSBHost, so with a full-data USB-C cable your captures pull straight to the Mac, with no drivers, no kernel extensions and no MTP stack.
It ships both a graphical app and a CLI: the GUI is a thumbnail grid with multi-select, keyboard navigation, double-click preview and drag-out to Finder (a multi-selection drags as one folder); the CLI gives probe, list and pull. The details are handled too, preserving capture dates as file modification dates, distinguishing new from existing files, keeping the Mac awake mid-export, and reconnecting automatically after a failure. It also recognizes the original Switch, with English and Simplified Chinese UI following the system language. MIT open source, Developer ID signed and notarized, macOS 15+.
