Caesium Image Compressor

Caesium Image Compressor

Efficient image compression tool

Description

Oversized website images slow loading, and sharing often hits a size limit; compressing one by one is slow and easy to overdo into mush. Caesium is built for this — batch-compress JPG, PNG and WebP with a barely visible difference but a big drop in size.

Open-source and free, with a desktop and a web version, compressing entirely locally so images are never uploaded.

Features

Batch compression: drop in a whole batch to compress at once — JPG, PNG, WebP — processing a library quickly.

Controllable quality: set quality with a slider or choose lossless, with a live before/after size and preview so you compress to just short of mushy.

Local, private: compression happens on your own device and images never leave it, so sensitive ones are safe to compress.

Batch resize and rename: resize and rename by rule while compressing, in one step.

Keep or strip metadata: optionally keep EXIF and other metadata, or strip it to shrink size and remove privacy information.
