Description
Once a second screen is plugged in, all Windows gives you is Win+Shift+Arrow to push a window across, and the cursor still slides onto the other screen mid game or halfway through a scrollbar drag. Dual Monitor Tools is an open-source set of multi monitor helpers that lives in the tray and binds everything to hotkeys: throw the current window to the next screen, stretch a maximized window across both, lock the cursor to the current screen, or make screen edges sticky so it takes a deliberate push to cross.
What used to be several separate programs is now one DMT.exe: Swap Screen handles window moves, Cursor handles cursor restrictions, Launcher starts programs from custom magic words, Wallpaper Changer gives each screen its own wallpaper, and Snap copies the primary screen onto a secondary one. The zip is under 400 KB and runs without installation.
Window hotkeys: Move the active window to the next or previous screen, minimize, maximize, supersize across all screens, or swap with the neighbouring window.
Cursor control: Lock the cursor to the current screen, add sticky resistance at edges, or jump it to another screen with a key.
Magic word launcher: Type a custom keyword to launch a program or built-in function, with arguments, window position and size.
Per screen wallpaper: A different wallpaper on each monitor, with random rotation and image sources.
Screen capture: Snap the primary screen and show it on a secondary one for side by side reference.
User defined areas: Define your own docking areas beyond the system presets and bind them to hotkeys.
Portable: Unzip and run, under 400 KB, an MSI installer is also offered.
