When an iPhone misbehaves, iTunes offers you a Restore button and nothing else — not which firmware versions are still signed, not whether a downgrade can work, not how far the battery has degraded. 3uTools lays that out: a built-in firmware list marked with what Apple is still signing, and flashing, downgrading, restoring while keeping data or wiping entirely as separate, labelled paths.
The panel people actually use most is the status one. Plug a device in and it reports battery cycle count and health, whether each component is original, the serial number and warranty state — which is most of what checking a second-hand phone involves. Below that is file management: photos, music, ringtones, video and each app's sandbox, browsable and exportable directly.
