You download a few hundred megabytes of archive just to check whether one screenshot inside is the right one — and the archiver spends a minute unpacking the lot. Bandizip's double-click opens the archive instead of extracting it: the file list appears at once, you drag out the one file you wanted, and nothing else is ever written to disk.
It reads far more than the usual handful of formats — zip, 7z, rar, tar, iso, alz, egg and dozens more — and writes zip, zipx, 7z, tar and lzh. The Windows integration is unusually granular too: which context-menu entries appear, which archive types get its icon, whether a double-click opens or extracts, each set individually rather than behind one "integrate with Explorer" switch.
