LivLiv Player

LivLiv Player

2.5D character player for the web

Description

Getting an anime-style character into a web page, a stream overlay or an app usually means a whole Live2D pipeline or a long afternoon with WebGL. LivLiv Player squeezes it into a few lines: one canvas, one load call, and the character breathes, blinks, turns its head and talks. The core is plain WebGL2 with no dependencies, around 30 KB gzipped.

Lip sync and webcam face tracking run in the browser too: a microphone, audio or video drives the mouth, MediaPipe follows your face, and both are loaded only when needed. One API plays LivLiv characters, VRM models and PNGTuber sprites, which covers VTuber setups and site mascots alike.

Features

Lip sync: a microphone, audio file or video drives the mouth, and speech.say makes the character talk.

Webcam face tracking: MediaPipe runs locally in the browser so the character follows your expressions and head movement.

Expressions and actions: setExpression switches faces, act triggers a nod, shake or hop, and params such as mouthOpen can be set directly.

Several character formats: LivLiv .livliv packages, VRM 3D models and PNGTuber open and closed mouth images, all on the same API.

21 ready-made characters: the characters folder in the repository ships 21 styles; copy the ones you use next to your page along with their licences.

Live examples: the official site hosts demo, PNGTuber, VRM and gallery examples, or build it and run them locally.
