Description
One app to find audiobooks, another to download them, a third to organize, and a fourth just to listen. Narratarr folds all four into one self-hosted app: search for a book, click once, and it lands in your library, tagged, filed and ready to play.
Its Discover page browses more than 30,000 free, legal audiobooks and radio shows from LibriVox and Old-Time Radio, and search forgives typos, so sherlok holms still finds Sherlock Holmes. Every book shows its length, format, size and description before you commit.
One click to the library: downloads queue up, are tracked live on the Activity page, and are filed as Author/Title with cover art and description.
Built-in player: chapters (including markers inside .m4b files), speeds from 0.75x to 3x, a sleep timer that can stop at the end of a chapter, a remembered position in every book, and lock-screen and headphone controls.
Forgiving search: titles suggest themselves as you type, results are ranked by match quality, and your exact words are always one click away.
Self-hosted: runs in Docker, keeps your data on your own machine, MIT licensed.
