BeatBrowser

BeatBrowser

Let agents use your own Chrome

Description

You ask Claude Code to look something up or fill in a form, and it launches a brand-new browser: no logins, no cookies, start over. BeatBrowser flips that. Install a Chrome extension and a local bridge, and your agent works in the Chrome you already use, with your sessions intact: no cookie export, no switching browsers.

Tasks run in their own windows in the background so your everyday tabs stay untouched; if you want to step in halfway, pause and take over, then let the agent continue. It is MIT-licensed, needs no BeatBrowser account or API key for local use, and your agent brings its own model access.

Features

Keep your logins: Uses the Chrome profile you choose; nothing to migrate

Separate task windows: One window per task, running in the background, with progress and an activity log in the side panel

Take over any time: Pause, resume or stop a task, and step in for verification or confirmations

Your choice of agent: Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Kimi Code and any MCP-capable tool, plus a CLI and a JavaScript SDK

Cloud agent preview: Optionally let a remote agent reach your local Chrome through a tunnel you host; off by default

Simple setup: Install the local tools with npm, load the extension in Chrome, verify the connection
