Description
Two things make smart speakers annoying: you cannot get their attention while music plays, and once they start talking you have to wait for them to finish. This voice client for the Lenovo ThinkSmart View fixes both with an on-device wake word and echo cancellation, so you can cut in while it is still speaking.
It talks to a gateway over the Xiaozhi protocol and shows a little orb whose face changes between listening, thinking and answering. Everything is served as a page on 127.0.0.1:8090, and calling a name switches to the matching large model.
On-device wake word: Detection runs locally, so audio is not streamed to the cloud all day
Echo cancellation: Runs only during a conversation or right after playback, so it still hears you while it speaks
Barge-in: Say the wake word or tap the screen to stop a reply; the interrupted turn is discarded
Switch models by name: Each model keeps its own conversation history
Kiosk chat UI: An expressive orb plus text chat, with push-to-talk and typed questions
Sleep hours and brightness: Dim the screen and halve the volume at night; set brightness and auto screen-off yourself
