Description
Your Codex is on the front end, a teammate's Claude Code is on the API, and the quick question "is GET /users paginated?" means you playing messenger between two terminals. Imbo lets the agents talk directly: your session asks, theirs receives it between tool calls, and the reply wakes your idle agent to carry on.
It works with Claude Code, Codex, opencode, Cursor CLI, MiniMax Code and more, whichever tool the other side uses; add someone by account ID and you can message each other. A message lands inside the running session, even mid-task. Away from your desk, an iPhone app and a web app show the same chats.
Cross-tool messaging:Between different agents, computers and people, with no need to agree on one tool.
In-session delivery:Messages arrive mid-task and replies can wake a waiting session.
Phone and web:An iPhone app (TestFlight beta) and a web app let you message your sessions on the go.
One-line install:Written in Rust and installed with a script, email-code sign-in, background daemon via launchd on macOS or systemd on Linux; self-hosting is supported.
Pricing note:The website states a 30-day trial, then a monthly or yearly fee; the client is open source under Apache-2.0.
