Agent Ping

Agent Ping

AI coding session alerts in the menu bar

AIOfficial site

Description

With Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode all open and seven or eight sessions running, the problem is not seeing progress, it is knowing which one is waiting for you right now. One is stuck on a question, one wants a permission, one died on an error, and you are idle in another window.

Agent Ping is a small menu-bar panel that only reads the logs and local databases those tools already write on your machine, works out who is running, queued, failed or waiting for an answer, alerts you while you are not looking, and takes you back to that session in one click. No account, no server, and the program makes no network calls of its own.

Features

Needs-you queue: Sessions waiting on you are sorted longest-waiting first, and each row carries one thing: which session, what state, where to click to jump back.

Verbatim questions and options: When a session stops to ask, the question and its options are shown as written, so you know what it wants without switching over. Failed sessions show the command that failed.

Quota and usage: Per tool, how much is left in the 5-hour and weekly windows, when each resets, and today's token total. A number that cannot be read is simply not drawn, never filled with 0.

Read-only rewards: Shows the check-in and campaign reward state that some tools write locally. Clicking a card only brings that app to the front and never claims anything for you.

Double-click to jump: A row fires only on a second click within 0.5 seconds, so a slip does not collapse the panel. Finished sessions carry an unread dot until you open them through the panel.

Cross-platform, six languages: Runs on macOS and Linux, with the interface in Chinese, English, German, Italian, Japanese and Korean.
