Description
The floppy drive on an old Amiga, Atari ST or industrial machine stopped reading disks years ago, and you are left with a pile of ADF, ST, MSA and IPF images that cannot just be dropped onto an SD card or USB stick for the device to read. HxCFloppyEmulator is the desktop companion for the HxC floppy emulators: convert any disk image into the format the emulator expects, write it to SD or USB, and the old machine treats it as a real floppy.
It handles a very long list of formats, reading and writing ST, DIM, MSA, IPF, DSK, ADF, IMG, HFE and more, and has a built in DOS disk browser to look inside an image. The portable zip carries both 64 bit and 32 bit Windows GUIs that run once extracted, and the whole project is open source.
Many format conversion: reads and writes ST, DIM, MSA, IPF, DSK, ADF, IMG, HFE and many more, converting between floppy images from different platforms
Amiga disk files: works on Amiga disk files directly, with no real machine needed
DOS disk browser: open an image to see its files and pull out the ones you need
Batch converter: drop in a whole folder of images and convert them all to the target format
Track analyzer: draws the data on each track so bad tracks, copy protection and format oddities show up
Floppy dump: with a real floppy drive, reads a physical disk into an image to rescue old media that is not completely gone
Portable build: the zip has Windows x64 and x86 GUIs, no installation needed
